Ultra-Temp Chimney, in 14"diameter, is ideal for venting natural and LP gas, #2 oil and open front wood burning appliances. The anchor plate allows the use of SSII chimney on masonry fireplaces.
Standard Stainless Steels are used for all insulated parts. The smooth stainless steel inner liner produces rapid stabilization of strong draft and heats fast to minimize condensation as waste gases are exhausted. The insulation in the pipe assures the highest possible inner wall temperature by preventing circulation of air between inner and outer chimney walls. This special insulation filling the space between the stainless steel walls is only 1" thick, yet it provides 17 times the insulating value of brick.
Selkirk’s chimney can be easily installed by one man. The chimney sections have threaded internal couplers that lock together in seconds with a 1/8 turn. Locking Bands are furnished with every pipe length to assure complete joint security. These systems come with a variety of components to meet every installation requirement.
Selkirk Metalbest Ultra-Temp has been tested to 1700°F. These high temperature tests comply with Underwriter’s Laboratories Safety Standard for Factory-Built Chimneys, UL-103 Sixth Edition.
