This Is The Chimney Sweep’s Standard Brush! It is
made from heavy duty steel components: 22 gauge (.0286")
diameter oil-tempered wire; laid in the four wire, seven gauge
spindle two on two, and pre-measured, thus giving a uniform,
rugged distribution of brush fill. The brush is twisted on
a 3/8" pipe threaded, plated, machined nipple. These
brushes are used by 90% of the chimney sweeps in the United
States for cleaning creosote from wood heating systems.
The Fiberglass Extension Rods contain approximately
70% long filament glass to give high strength and flexibility.
A special resin allows the rods to flex to a maximum radius
of 1.5 feet. Medium-duty (.440" diameter, 3/8" PT)
black rods are available. For professional use there is the
.480" diameter yellow rod with 3/8" PT connections.
Quick-Disconnect coupling plug locks into socket when
pushed together; to disconnect simply twist the socket’s spring-loaded
ring. These save time on every job, and are required by most
professional sweeps.
Pipe Thread Loop has a 1/2" loop hole in end.
Allows rope to be attached to brushes for double hauling. |
