This Brush Is Designed For The Chimney Sweep’s Special
Needs.
Its construction is identical to the Heavy Duty brush, but instead of round wire, flat oil-tempered wire is used. Some sweeps prefer flat wire brushes because of the greater contact area afforded by each filament. These brushes are also shorter than standard wire brushes, thus giving greater flexibility
in going around offsets and through elbows. This brush is now using much stiffer wire than the original Flat Wire brush introduced in 1981.
The Fiberglass Extension Rods contain approximately 70% long filament glass to give high strength and flexibility. A special resin allows the rods to flex to a maximum radius of 1.5 feet. Medium-duty (.440" diameter, 3/8" PT) black rods are available. For professional use there is the .480" diameter yellow rod with 3/8" PT connections.
Quick-Disconnect coupling plug locks into socket when pushed together; to disconnect simply twist the socket’s spring-loaded ring. These save time on every job, and are required by most professional sweeps.
Pipe Thread Loop has a 1/2" loop hole in end. Allows rope to be attached to brushes for double hauling.
This allows the use of 3/8" threaded brushes and rods with 1/4" threaded brushes or rods.…
